Anyone who takes more than a 4 year loan on a car is a fool and can't afford the car. You'll get upsidedown very quickly and get very burned if you ever wreck it or have to sell it. Tell him that

Hey, D., didn't I say no back talk? anyways I said seven-year but that's wrong it's really six. But I make up for it by making semi-monthly payments which shortens the loan by nearly two weeks! It's a credit union thing, I get a quarter-percent discount for paying by payroll withholding. But since the C.U. lets us have one annual "payment holiday," it's stretched out another half-year. It's the Toyota saleman's fault, he sold the wife on all the bells & whistles & she just had to have that van. But now she will just have to drive it 10 years!
