I have no experience with boat motors so please explain with more details than you might to your average guy.
I have a 1972 Johnson Seahorse 25 HP outboard motor.
It was painted army green all over and I am not sure if the problem is related to the paint or age.
The engine cranks fine, but the throttle requires a lot of force to turn and it turns off when I try to turn it to shift. Someone told me I should lube it, but I am not sure what to buy and where to put the lube. Do I need to disassemble the arm, or just put it on the areas I can see?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Misty
