Boom,

E-bay is loaded with the versioin 6 Roxio because version 7 just came out. 6 will work well and is cheap. I think the ver 6 will let you make dvd photo disks that you can play as slide shows on dvd players. Great for when you go visiting or to mail out to relatives. Nice part is the dvd contains the full picture, not a compressed or reduced size. So it doubles as a backup of the family albums.

Mark

Another thing to consider when buying CD/DVD burning software: Compatablity with future software purchases. IE if you think that you might want to do some video editing from your camcorder and burn it on DVD, then check out the entire suite of programs from that vender. Mixing vender software in the picture/video media can cause lots of incompatability problems.

So which ever brand you go with, take a few minutes to think about your media needs in general.

PS: making your own video DVD's is fun. I just wish that the camcorders had a better resolution than the current DV standard is. I can't wait for HD camcorders!

Mark
