How did you come up with your boat name

My Wife came up with a clever name the other night. I said to her that we need to come up with a name for the boat, she said "your a pain in the boat". We looked at each other and both thought it was kind of a neat, funny name and it stuck. How did you come up with your boat name. :)

My boat is Red boat. My older one is Yellow boat. The inflatable is Little Orange boat. I know, it's original and innovative but my kids figured out the names and it sure saves time having to get the name put on. ;)

My wife and I love the movie "Anchorman", and with the type crowd that usually shows up to the lake, we thought it was a good fit.

We just talked about it until we came up with something catchy that fit our lifestyle. We liked the last boat name and couldn't agree on one for the new boat so we made it a second edition :) Needless to say we are pretty independent and don't deal well with people that try to judge us ( which is why I like it here) Were putting the new name on this weekend so I don't have pictures yet.

"Pain in the Boat", that's a good one. :D

We had a period of less than stellar luck for a couple of years, totaled out 2 cars, smashed another one up 3 times, I fractured my shoulder falling of our old boat. Through it all the father-in-law kept saying "Better Days are coming". Which also happens to be a line from a song by one of our favorite artists, Joe Bonamassa - Bridge to Better Days. So when we bought the Cruisers it seemed a natural fit.

When we had our 22' Cuddy we could never come up with a name that we both liked. But, living down in Biloxi and New Orleans for about 15 years I always wanted to name a boat "Le Bon Temps Roule" or Let the Good Times Role. A little cajun flavor. Unfortunetly that wouldn't fit. So, we always said if/when we get a bigger boat...

Boat 1: While trying to come up with a name for our boat.................and I've always wanted a motorcycle. Wife thought I would be going 100mph on a rice burner. I told her all I wanted was just a cruiser motorcycle. Then I told her...."that's it", she replied, "what's it" the name of our boat, "Jus'ta Cruzzer" also our last name is Cruz.

Boat 2: I wanted to incorporate our name into it somehow again. I thought about "Jus'ta Cruzzer II", but the wife said that wasn't orginal enough. We have 2 boys, 10yrs and 5 yrs old. So after much deliberation and a family vote, we came up with: "Jus IV Cruz'n"

ours was easy my wife is a 5'0 100lbs spit fire one day we were picking at each other around some of our friends and they said boy she gives you hell so later on thats night i told her i was going to name it after her and she said what and i said PURE HELL and it stuck everyone gets a kick out of it when i tell them it was named after my wife

Once I figured out what I had bought ('72 OMC electric shift sterndrive) we knew the name of the boat: Fide. The word is Latin for "Faith," which is how we boat ... we go out on faith, come back in by faith, by faith it starts ... :D

My wife is tall and lean. The first day I met her, I called her 'stick' (I forgot her name...:facepalm:), and I have been calling her that ever since.
When we bought the boat, she said "Well, if he's not on me, he's gonna be on her. This is my only comeptition...

Therefore, it's "Stick's Competition".

My houseboat came with a name.. well, an acronym:

B.U.B.

I've been working on her though, and as soon as she's not, I've got a name picked out. My brother suggested it, and he got it from the tv show Arrested Development.

On our first boat, i asked my 2 year old what she wanted to call the boat. She thought for about 2 seconds and said let's call it french fry. So thats what it was. Made me laugh. I asked her again on the second boat... she wanted to call it watermelon. I said no. We went with something I thought would make a good vehicle license plate. 4KST8RS.

Great names guys. I think its neat to hear how these names came to. "pain in the boat" doesn't mean anything specific, we own a landscaping/snow plowing company and we've been blessed but its usually a real pain in the butt most days so it fits,lol.

I wanted something that conveyed a spirit of fun and adventure, but wasn't something everybody else was using. Took me a long, long time to hit on 'Escapade'
