How damaged are these threads.

I am in the middle of driving a sandpoint well. It was going so good and then the drive coupling of the pipe loosened up while I was pounding and now the threads are distorted. After looking at these pictures, what are my options? I'm thinking
-use it anyway
-buy a tap and chase the threads
-cut the pipe and cut new threads
-give up

do you have a pipe die set? that is what i would do, start the die, cut about 2 new threads, cut off the excess length above the die, and back the die off.

just be advised, your not looking at a cheap die, you will need a quality die. one that does not say "made in china"

Tapered pipe threads. Not bad at all...

Grind off the top distorted thread(s). Taper the end just a wee bit and it will thread right back on.

Use pipe sealer if you need a water proof connection

If you do not have access to a die just use a triangular file to dress up threads.

Thanks, complete new threads. After beating on the well pipe for hours I just wanted to be sure.
