Years ago I had a Guest brand, dont see those locally , ,
I see West MArine sells a float charger but do not know who makes it- like buying some NAPA parts, cant tell who makes it, .
And BAttery Tender makes two - .7 amp and 1.2 amp

IS there one single battery charger thats a good maintainer or float charger? How do I choose?

Look in the RV web pages or such. If you just want a maintainer they sell the same stuff you can get in the boating places, but for less $.
If you want something that will automatically maintain there are some that will do that as well. They are more of a sophisticated charger with various charge rates, voltages and desulfation.
Before you buy you might want to read, http://www.marxrv.com/12volt/12volt.htm, and part 2 of it, http://marxrv.com/12volt/12volta.htm.

Schumacher. I have had a bunch of these including one in my Airplane Hauler. Plugged in 24x7. 1-1/2 amp. Sold in most auto stores and if you have a farm store nearby, they will have them also.

I have several of the Schumacher chargers shown below. Like Silvertip, I have had great success with these. I prefer these because they come with removable end connections. You can choose clip attachments and permanent ring terminal attachments and can swap using the 2-pole trailer style quick connector that attaches the ends.
