Why does it seem the boating community in all forums seems to be so anti hot rodding or modifying. I don't have anything in particular in mind I'm just wondering why everyone seems so against it and unwilling to help with related topics. I know it's not really safe but neither is hot rodding cars and trucks but it's done everyday. I mean boat racing is a real thing so how do people get in it without people willing to share the knowledge?
Ayuh,...... If you wanta talk BBC hot roddin', go to offshore only forum,.....

If you wanta talk hot roddin' outboards, go over to scream, 'n fly forums,....

I used to have an ole Glastron 14' Jetflite(rated for 60 hp), with a 135 hp Merc tower of power that provided some serious butt puckerin' wild rides,....
Now, I've got a Slickcraft 195 SS that came with a 3.0l, 140 hp, that now has a slightly warmed over 350 Chevy, pushin' abit over 300 hp,....

Nothing sounds like a 150hp Merc Tower or Power with trumpets
Hey, I have twin V8 Verado and with one software button I can make it louder. Not saying it's sounds anything like a Tower, but it does change the sound, and yes I might be hard of hearing

Ayuh,..... I've got one of those in storage, but no longer have the Jetflite,.....
Would Love to find a 15' Hydro-stream to mount it on,..... ;)

The scariest ride ever was a Hydro-stream V-king with a 225 on back. When you have to slow down to 80 to turn, you pull the upholstery with your sphincter

The 150 on a 15' would just be fun
