Do drink some but didn't last night. Brought the new year in by snoring. I don't believe I snore but my wife says I do. How would I know if I do snore, I'm asleep.

Happy New Year

Re: Hope:

Spinner
I drank more than I have for years.. in one setting. We ran into some old friends from years past. Six drinks in four hours! I was on my Lips! As we used to say! Acted a little stupid, but it was in good fun. (we were all a little tipsie)
Then we took a cab home.
The cab driver turned out to be a friend of 20 years and did not charge us, so I tipped him 20 dollars for a 2 minute drive.
All's Well that ends Well!

YeeeeHaaaaaa! Still fired up Spinner and ready to go! Yes sir, gotta good buzz going last night. I was way too drunk to drive, but I didn't have to worry bout that since I was at home! :p

My guests that were here spent the night or stayed for some breakfast and coffee before going home. No body left my house intoxiated unless they had a designated driver.

Well, gotta go now to find out who's wife lost their undergarment on my pool table? I must have missed something that happened last night

Thanks for the concern Spinner and you have a wonderful coming year as well. Tell Suzette we said HI and Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing you two this coming summer!

Re: Hope:

Nice post :)

I don't drink either, I was sleeping when the new year came.

Hope eveyone is doing well and made it through safely.

Here in Arizona we have "Shannons Law" to prosecute revelers who shoot guns in the air. Shannon was a little girl killed by a falling bullet a decade or two back. Hope that didn't happen again anywhere last night.

Re: Hope:

Dinner out with a group of good friends and home to snore in the New Year. Neighborhood kids' fireworks woke me up. I rolled over and kissed my beloved wife and whispered Happy New Year then rolled back over and resumed snoring. I hope the new year brings peace, health, and happiness to you all. :) :)

I was tuning up my new Strat. For a cheap ax, those babies got some sounds.

My fingers hurt.

OMC wins . . .

We went to an early party for friend's 50th. Drove home around 9:30 and ended up at neighborhood party so I simply walked home after a little tequila and a few beers. Mrs. QC slept through (nighty-night after first party) and I kissed some other guy's wife at midnight . . . :D

Hmmm,
Stayed home and played Axis and Allies with the family until midnight thirty. We had our root beer floats at midnight.

It was remarkably quiet here. Of course, living on base doesn't help that. Was still too quiet.

Lots of rain the night before, several roads closed off due to high water. We have a bridge that is 10 feet forward and 6-8 feet above a dam on Beale Lake. There was debris jammed into the railings on the bridge!!!

News Years Eve night was nice and quiet, no rain, no fireworks, no pots banging. Mostly people sleeping in the New Year.

AK Chappy

Mark42,

I bought my kid the lowly Squier version last year, $159. Little Fender amp to go with it, I think 35 watts. I can make this combo sound prety darn good, no effects, just the gain, built-in reverb etc . . . ;) Pretty fun, huh?

Sorry for the hijack . . .

Re: Hope:

Spent the evening at the Fire House with the other firefighters. Had a nice time. Plenty to eat and the kids had a ball. We pulled the engine out so they had more room to run their remote control cars and what not. Sat up a playstation so some of them could play their new games....(even some of the "big" kids got involved.) Had two drinks all nite. Only one disagreement I had to step into....5 minutes later they were slapping each other on the back wishing each other a happy new year. Didn't get home till around 3am. No emergency calls from around the area all nite. Good time and way to spend the new years evening.

Quiet night here. We watched the new Penguin movie. I believe it's called "Flight of the Penguins".

It was quite good. Informative, entertaining and interesting. No political overtones either.

I wish all well, in the new year.
