Honda Coils Discontinued

I own both a 7.5 horse Honda and a 9.9 horse. They were both manufactured in the 80's. I have been told that the coil is bad on the 7.5 horse, and then informed by HONDA that they no longer makes this part. This coil was used in thousands of outboards. Does anyone know of a source for this COIL, new or used?

Sounds like Honda is trying to make their old outboards obsolete so you have to buy a brand new outboard.
If you find Honda dealers online give them a call since some of them is bound to have old stock.
Keep an eye on ebay. Might be a good time to start hoarding all the used coils you can get your hands on and then sell them for a ridiculous amount in a few years.
