Honda BF15* Model # based on serial # Needed!

I have a 15HP 4 stroke outboard with a fried cdi ignition module ~?pre 1997. I have the Serial # [as stamped on the block behind the ignition module Mount.] BAAE 1204047 But no model # and am unable to locate a replacement part. the Motor is a long shaft, electric start with pull start. CDI ignition. any help would be appreciated. Parts?

Can a Honda dealer not get you a part number based on the serial number?

Thanks I will give it a try. I will also query a dealer to track down the serial #.
