I have a late eighties 4 stroke 7.5 Honda motor. Its a long shaft kicker motor. I does not work well on my 12 ft Aluminum boat. The motor is a great motor and starts right up. It just doesnt plain the boat at all. I want to sell it, but don't know how much I should sell it for. Any one know how much?

Do a search on ebay and see what they're going for. Remember to add shipping to the final cost.

I sold a long shaft Susuki 5h 2 cycle much newer for $350.00 2 months after I bought it for $300.00. Having bought several motors 25+ years old. I would ask $500.00 to $600 its a honda. Sailboaters are always looking for longshafts. There speciaized and expensive so ask high and let them talk you down a bit, then you`ll both be happy. Craigslist is the way to go.

Locally there is a guy selling a nice aluminum boat/trailer with a Honda 7.5 for $650 or b.o.. Sweet deal........I should buy it.
I had a 10 hp short shaft honda and sold it for $575. When I checked ebay they were selling for a little less at that time.

Depending on condition and your area you can probably expect to get anywhere from $300-$600 for it. A good running/looking Honda 7.5 would probably sell between $400-$500 where I live.
