Honda 15hp pull start now electric later?

Can someone tell me if I can change a 1997 Honda 15hp from pull start to electric start. It has an alternator to charge a battery.

Yes you can but you are not going like what it cost you.To my knowledge,Honda do'es not offer a kit for that conversion but that may have changed since I last checked.I doubt it as that engine is discontinued.You may be able to find an electric start version of your engine at a salvage yard and scavenge the parts.Why the upgrade?This engine is pretty easy to pull over.

Thanks for the good news. I kind of thought that would be the case. The 15hp will be the kicker for my 19' bluefin aluminum. I guess I could start it with the pull rope, I guess I just want everything. Its the raising and lowering that i'm worried about. I really need to find a aftermarket tilt/trim.

Panther Marine makes a cool jackplate like electic tilt kicker bracket.Be carefull to look at mounting clearances,wire routing,mount location,etc,etc,
