If he ever breaks Aaron's record, they'll give him an asterisk, no doubt. He'll never do it.<br /><br />I personally think the Babe should have had an asterisk. He never had to face Satchel Page.

If he took the steroids, he is not even in the same class with Babe and Aaron.

Should he be in the Base Ball Hall of Fame? I hope not if they can prove he used steroids.<br /><br />You would thing he would go after the authors of the book which claims he used steroids. Would a lawsuit bring out the truth. At least now he can say that he is incorrect.

A cheat. Look at his days with the pirates compared to now. What a physical difference. I kind of hoped he would have just faded away. <br /><br />If he does capture the record, I'm not sure if the integrity of the MLB records could ever be saved.

Is Pete in the HOF yet? All he did was a little betting. This guy goes way out in left field with drug use and he's ok. I'd like to say why but I think I'll keep quiet.

I think he took steroids, and knew what he was doing, but:<br /><br />That is accusation and gossip. Nothing has been proven. I don't believe that people should be punished for suspicion.<br /><br />Charlie Hustle? (Pete Rose). I think the HOF should be about how people played baseball, not about outside activities.<br /><br />Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, et al engaged in many disapproved (and some illegal) activities and it didn't keep them out.

I thought as you get older your body loses tone and size, look at his size from his early daze it's like Pee-Wee Herman vs Hulk Hogan......WHAT A BLACK EYE FOR BASEBALL..............

In my opinion I think that Pete Rose should be in the Hall. Also that there should be an asterisk along Bonds name if it is proven that he had taken steroids. We have a pretty good hitter in St.Louis that isn’t on steroids and he has stated that he will pee in a cup any time that they want him to. His name is Albert Pujols.

I think treedancer types his posts into MS Word so as to take advantage of the spell check. I bet he had a couple of answers going at the same time and cut and pasted incorrectly.

I was just razzing him a bit because he pointed out one of my errors the other day when I was critiquing Txwinner on his constant Bush bashing and his frequent typos and in the process I made a typo myself.Paybacks are a $%^&###@$$%

I think you gotcher spurs a leetle tangled up on this one. Satchel Paige may have been a 48 year old rookie but the Babe was well beyond his prime before The Satchel was throwin' his best stuff. You might as well asterisk anyone who didn't face Paige in his prime. Henry Aaron didn't...

Saw a graph that some sports writer put together. Bonds home runs increased at an age when all of the other great home run hitters numbers started to decline.
