I have a 1984 grady white offshore 24 and, upon takeing the large gas tank out, discovered a hole. Aside from welding the hole shut; what are some ways to prevent this from happening again? There are also some corroded, worn, or pitted areas at several different spots where the tank rests on its cradle. I wondered if after welding these various spots if a rhino liner spray would prevent this problem in the future. Any help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,...

I wouldn't even consider Welding as a Repair,....

Replacment tanks aren't all that expensive....

A well mounted plastic tank will last a lifetime,...
Aluminum tanks Rot...
