I have a freebie insert with a 1 1/2 inch drop. To make my trailer ride level I really need about a 1 1/2 rise. If I remove the ball and flip the hitch insert over will it compromise the integrity of the weld on the drop/rise of the insert? Thanx for any advice.

Not a problem... in fact, it is designed for that!

No reason it will not work for you. Strength should not be an issue.

Re: Hitch insert

should work..

I saw a truck with a lift kit on it.

The hitch drop was at least 18 inches or more
