To say the least it’s been an interesting year for all of us. I have been making good use of the boat and have had some good trips. Took a bunch of pictures too, then my phone completely died in mid summer so I didn’t have any pictures to post as an update here. I still checked in here pretty regularly, but didn’t notice until today that I had a PM.
The PM is from my boat’s previous owner’s family, who I have been trying to track down for seven years. He says that he has some history on my boat, but didn’t include any contact information. So I go to reply to the PM and can’t send it because the screen is flashing with a “stay connected” pop-up screen that won’t let me hit the “post” button. So I figure I have to fill in the “stay connected” flashing screen, but it won’t let me do that either. -----(EDIT: It finally let me hit the "post" button between the flashing pop-up screen!. Hopefully I can connect with the previous owner's family.)-----
So then I figure I’ll go to my thread to post an update on my trips with a few pictures that I do have, and let the family member know that I want to talk with him. Well, I can’t do that either as I find my thread is locked.
I guess I’ll just chalk it up to being more 2020.

All the way to Montauk? You're taking this social distancing thing seriously!

Enjoy the trip.

And apparently a bit more than planned too! It was nice coming over here yesterday, then overnight the breeze picked up from the N.E. and has made it a bit interesting between here and CT. I started heading back today, the 3-4 ft swells were ok, just sort of hobby horsing our way along. When I got about a half hour out of Montauk Harbor I got to where all the water from L.I. Sound was running out (going west) and meeting with the N.E. wind. Well, 4-5 ft breaking and confused waves was not something I was interested in with this little boat, so at the first doable chance we spun around and headed back to Montauk. Not sure I ever surfed in a 33 ft boat before, I did today. Lol
The weather doesn’t look much better for tomorrow either. We’ll see.

Here is some of the company. :)
