So I admit, I still wander Craigslist all day looking for a "good deal" on another boat to play with, and one caught my eye as hilarious today.

Here is a single comment that will make you all smile...

"The interior is rough and need reupholstered due to sitting. Original cover split and universal covers would not fit well to keep weather out. Boat interiors are quite basic and simple to do the work yourself. I had already gathered a parts list to redo myself for $250 a while back."

Here is the link if you want to see this "jewel"!

When I was driving to Harbor Freight to pick up some sanding and grinding disks to remove fiberglass as part of the rebuild of my solid boat, I saw a boat very similar to the one in this ad. I have a new appreciation for boats now.
If the gelcoat is faded or oxidized.
If it has leaves in it or water in the bilge.
If it doesn't look to be in immaculate condition.
It is a total rebuild waiting to happen.

I am now a used boat pessimist. I ought to register that website. usedboatpessimist.org.

Awwww, come on guys...it ain't that bad:pout:...a little cosmetic work is all it needs...if you consider cosmetic work to include new transom, stringers, deck, bulkheads, wiring, upholstery, rigging, ..............
With a little bit of good natured heckling and raw encouragement from the guys here on Iboats, you could easily have that boat in sea shape in about a week or two...no really, I swear it!:twitch:

If you think that was funny, grab a cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy:

This thread is a compilation of CL (TLC Needed) greatest hits:

http://forums.iboats.com/boat-topic...ny-tlc-needed-boat-ads-craigslist-287916.html

190 pages and counting.

Of course, the post begs the question: "if its that simple and will only required 250 dollars in parts, why don't you just do it yourself?"

Did you notice in last pic. there is a weedeater laying on ground.

Thinking he had to do some trimming to get to boat....or maybe he was using it inside on the deck to knock down some of the trees.
