I too had a 16' Cobia boat. It was a good sturdy craft. I believe it was a 1972 with a 65 hp Merc. I bought it from my brother in 1982. At the time, I figured it would be less expensive to overhaul it vs buy a new boat. I had been looking at a 20' Wellcraft. The Cobia needed much repair., new engine, paint job, seats etc. A Long story short: I ended up spending more fixing it up than a new 20' Wellcraft would have cost with a trailer. Know when to quit! I did however have the boat until I bought new in 1989. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the Cobia and I recooped 1/2 when I sold. Your boat looks like it doesn't need much repair.
