Hey Oldhand..... about the Mercruiser 165hp 6cylinder

I would prefer to replace all the tappets but I am not quite sure which exact engine this is.<br />Also, shouldn't there be a precise gap setting? Something to use as a base/starter point? <br />Thanks,<br />Skiph

Thanks Ancient one.... I am new to this website so just learning my way around.<br />I really can't understand why it is so hard to get the gap settings for the lifters. Is the Mercruiser IL6 165hp engine that uncommon?<br />Thanks again...
