Hi i am about to buy a Herters 14 ft fiberglass boat with a older 15 hp johnson motor for $50 good deal bad deal? And any info on boat.

$50 for a boat & motor? Either the seller is family OR its a severe project that someone is walking away from.

I'm going out on a limb and going with the latter being the case. If you're up for a challenge, lots of itching, and grinding...it may be good. Otherwise....umm run?

Likely has fins and if you like people coming over to talk you at the boat ramp than it is a good deal.

Loaded questions here....does the motor run ? does the boat have rotted wood structure ?? If all are negative, then you just paid someone to haul away their junk for them !!

I used to have a Herters fiberglass fishing boat that you speak of. if the motor runs it is worth more than $50 grab it and enjoy.

14' GLASS boat is usually much heavier than a Aluminum one. With a 15 HP motor ? Is it a Short Shaft boat and Motor ? I would pass on it You are paying him to take it off of his property ? Will it carry you and 1 other adult ? At a acceptable speed ?

Hasn't mentioned if the motor even runs !!
