At my local ramp theres a guy and a girl all the time they unload 1 or 2 skis. Then the girl stands at the bottom of the ramp blocking it holding the skis while the guy drives back up the ramp. Why cant they go to the dock like everyone else...

I believe in that case, I'd probably just start backing my boat down. When they started crying about it, I'd just say "oh, I didn't see you there. Never thought anybody would be dumb enough to tie up a ramp when there's a perfectly good dock right there".

If you see this "all the time" then it's up to you to say something. Half the time, the dumbasses don't realize what they are doing and just need to be instructed. problem solved.

I can't imagine someone leaving a rig unattended on a ramp. I've seen that once at our hunt club when the other member didn't think anyone else was coming (I was) and he was in a hurry (so was I) and coming right back (he didn't.) He also could have safely left his keys in the vehicle; he locked it. He has now been instructed.

There are circumstances where it is OK to leave a trailer on the ramp for a short time while testnig the boat, etc. but only if you are either certain no one is coming, or have someone to move it immediately if they do. And anyone can drive a vehicle with an empty jet ski trailer straight up a ramp (except the clutch impaired, I guess).

That is a common afliction.
2am New years day, sydney harbour. Okish looking woman asks if i could help her load te boat onto trailer and move it as no one can drive the manual as the driver had been taken away sick to hospital (spider bite)
helped and all was good. and by good i mean i ended up with her number. god is laughing at me cos he knows i lost the number and is making sure that will never happen to me again...
good guys dont win
