nope nothing wrong with it. have a stack of service reciepts i found in the glove box plus the ones he (prev. owner) gave me. i will be using this boat as is..... for now.....
Yes, indeed; good catch. The vacuum fitting capped with the nozzle from a tube of silicone sealer is a dead giveaway something's amiss.Carefull with that fuel system, looks like auto carb, fuel line and filter.
Sweet ride!!!!!

thanks! i havent had her on the water. this is MY first boat so i have lots to learn! ive been around boats for years and i finally had the opportunity to buy cheap while its cold and after the holidays. The boat looks great. Congrats!!! She looks like a beautiful resto project... possibly all cosmetic. What year, what outdrive? Tell us more about herSome TLC (especially with that teak), and you've got one screamin' beauty there
. How does she handle on the water?
Man, you guys are good... I caught the caulk nozzle, but not the auto fuel system. I forgot to question the caulk nozzle in my reply. I didn't even know that that was the vacuum fitting. I was clueless... I'm not even a "shade-tree mechanic" Kind of a bolt on/bolt off kinda' guy. I go a little deeper with service manuals and experienced help when necessarry. Thanks for the education!!!
1980celeb, again, that's a beautiful boat. Please don't underestimate the necessity of having only marine grade parts on your motor. One spark, and it could be over:facepalm:
fwiw....this is MY first boat so i have lots to learn!

take a safe boating class... united states power squadron or us coast guard aux. are the best imho...
get an oem service manual for your rig. do repairs by the book. don't sub auto parts period. any in place R&R to marine rated parts.
read iboats a lot.
ive done all that fun stuff already. here, you have to when you rent a boat, each time you rent a boat. i have made sure all lights work, i have life jackets, flag, paddles, fire ext., horn....

All kidding aside looks like fun my friend and a good looking boat!
