Tap it one size bigger, and grease the shaft so it goes on easier.

Did you get an OEM bolt or just some bolt with the same thread and length?

Did you muck up the snout with that puller tool? Maybe you need to caress the top couple threads, they go pretty deep I can't imagine they're bad all the way.

Big ol 7/8" fine threaded bolt right? I would run a tap and clean the threads before anything else. Someone may have used a hammer on the crank snout at one time or another and it's slightly mushroomed.

Most likely your tool didnt include the snout protector or you removed the balancer without using the bolt to protect the threads. If so , get the proper sized tap and use that first to clean the threads or be prepared to replace the crankshaft.

Is there a two drink minimum with this comedy show?

Some poeple use heli-coil's to repair damaged threads.

Be aware that the crank could be hardened there.

are you from Venezuela?
if so I can get you better instructions in spanish.
in fact my wife is from Caracas and happens to be a translator.
couple that with the fact I can actually make her remove and install a balancer :) :)
life may be sweet :)
