The outboard is a '74 evinrude 135. The controls are a little crusty. Is there a certain one that i need to buy to replace it, or are they pretty much universal?

1 more question... Any idea where to get a cheap (if there is such a thing) Power tilt/trim... I dont know much about them and cant really find any. Its a pain tring to lift the motor up/down...

I have good news and bad news. The good news the controls are fairly universal. Any Johnson/Evinrude control box from like '73 to somewhere in the mid-90's will work. The bad news is, you're totally screwed in the TnT department. Trust me on this one as I had a '73 and tried for years to find a TnT unit for it. The pre-'78 units are rare and go for $400+ on ebay sometimes even in untested condition. A CMC unit is really your only option and those are like $500.
