Hi,

Apologies in advance for the newbie question, but I have a 1982 Cobalt 18' BR with the Volvo AQ260a (Chevy 350) 5.7--going on my second season with it this summer.

The motor is paired up with the 280 outdrive with hydraulic power-trim. The motor is hod-rod bitchin' looking, red with chrome valve covers, etc.

I was wanting to do an old change on it myself this year but can't for the life of me find the oil filler cap. Usually it's on the valve covers, but these chrome valve covers just have a hose coming out of each in the middle.

Please don't tell me I have to figure out how to get it in the dipstick hole? Or do those hoses just pop out of the valve covers and then you can put it in their hole? Sorry, I'm not very mechanically inclined... Will try to post a pic tomorrow.

Thanks!

Yeah, the hoses were just in place with friction, so I just pulled one out on the right side and put the oil in that hole. I'm assuming/hoping the oil made it's way into the engine from there, lol. Here's some pics.IMG_1425.jpgIMG_1426.jpgIMG_1427.jpg
