Help with hatch sealing

My front hatch has been leaking for quite sometime. So I am going to reseal it.
The factory seal is a rubber bead/moulding that looks like it was glued in. I guess over the years is has shrunk causing the leak. What would be the best material to use to fill in the gap and get it sealed back up? I had thought about masking the window and frame off and filling it with black RTV. Idle, I would recommend staying away from any type of Silicone period. It is far too resilient and it will sooner or later pull itself away from one side or the other.

Polyurethane is what is used around business windows and doors and it sticks to everything, concrete, metal, glass, wood, but you don't want to use the construction stuff. Get a good quality Marine version such as 3M 5200 or the fast setting brother, 3M 4200. They sell it on the catalog side of the site.

It is available in different sizes and in a couple different colors (I think). Make sure everything is squeaky clean and Ubber Dry and seal that baby back in.
