Hi folks just purchased an old boat with a 60 hp evinrude

I was told this boat and motor where a 1977 Crestliner

But the serial number on the motor Id's it at 1970 60073b

But I have not found any pictures on the internet of my fibreglass 16" boat
lots of similar ones but not this exact one.

This boat also has a rounded style windshield not sure if its original though

Does anyone know what year and model this boat is ?

Thanks

Re: Help with boat identification pictures

Is there a hull identification number available? On the transom or maybe on the paperwork. If it is a 1977 the HIN will narrow it right down.

There is no id on the boat anywhere but I will double check the paperwork and report the numbers.

Re: Help with boat identification pictures

There were literally hundreds of fiberglass boat manufacturers in the 50s/60s. Some produced only a handful of boats and the vast majority of them were little closed bow runabouts like that one. It will be very difficult to ID. That is, indeed, approximately a 1970 Evinrude though.

I have an 89 thompson that was repainted badly, so I have been stripping her down. I stumbled upon what I suspect to be the HIN under coats of paint on the right hand side of the hull towards the stern of the boat.

If your boat has been painted this could be the case with yours...

Ok I will have a closer look. I know the transom was fully replaced and the boat was stripped down, so I hope it was not discarded.

Looks nearly identical to my '68, except for the sorta strake on the side. If the motor is 1970, chances are the hull is a '70 as well

I thought I had found it a few time no strake though and i did see a couple that where almost a perfect match in aluminum.

Unfortunately the hull id was discarded.

I think I may have found it But I need to narrow it down.

Im pretty sure its a late 50's early 60's glasspar.

Any glasspar owners out there.
