Greetings all,

I have a 94 40hp evinrude with a broken shell connector on the back of the tilt assist lever. I have the replacement part but the motor is in the down position and I can not access the assembly to replace it.

I've read where you remove the positioning pin at the bottom of the transome mount but mine seems frozen in place. Can anyone tell me how to get it unstuck?

Too, I can still move the acutator/plunger inside the transom mount but it will not release the motor... The system was working fine before the shell connector broke. ANybody know the secret to getting the hting to release namually?

Thanks in advance for any help!
