Help removing crankcase cover

HI all I have a manual but it very veg
need help aim removing parts to get at the crack I remove all the bolts to the housing still very stuck there
? 1)
do you have to remove the flywheel to get the housing off

there is a bolt missing on the bottom of the push rod , hope there not much damage to the crank??fingers +?
