help...no spark on my 2stroke merc

well...took most things off and cleaned and still no spark..i have a 1987,25hsp,2 stroke merc...i've tested the coil pack and seems good...but that's as far as i can go..pretty much a novice to this point...thx folks


update...took the motor apart again today and looked into the magneto and the stator..they both look good too...anyone have a suggestion on what path i could take now?

it's not a biggie folks..i was hoping not to take it into a shop..tryin the home repair job and get knowledge on the how to thing...just wanna get'r goin and start some fishing! lol...again..any help is gr8ly apprieciated...:redface:

try getting your hands on a repair manual and a ohm meter, follow the guide lines the color coded wires from the stator, and the trigger, and the coils primary and secondary coils, its pretty ez only one step at a time and you can elimate a good part of your electrial system. and check the ez things first like the kill switch on the laynard, and if the battery if up to full charge things like that every one over looks these things good luck Bob
