i i have 1989 wellcraft have had in the shop and problem still not fixed. take the boat out it runs good for about thirty minutes then it starts stalling out have had carb rebuild alternator rebuild new coil. when it does stall its like it just rolls over and over and till you give it throttle only back forth then it finally starts but not all the time. have took to professional and he says he's got it fixed it runs fine on water hose get it out on the lake runs good for 30 minutes to hour then strts acting up and when you turn the key off it is hard to start after running for a while take it back to the dock and cool off for thirty or forty minutes it starts right up. please help me

dealing with the same problem,
rochester 2 BBL carb.
They are known to have flooding issues.
Check float, make sure it has no holes.
Check float adjustment.


Try looking into the carb after it stalls out and see if there is pooling of gas or pull plug to see if it's wet etc to look for flooding issues.

They are hard to restart after running them and sometimes stall after coming off plane to idle if you have a similiar problem to mine.

I intend to completely rebuild my carb and have it cleaned well and check all adjustments to see if it fixes it...just no time lately.
