We are planning a number of trips to the lake this year where the boat will be kept in a slip overnight and I would like to make sure that it doesn’t sink for some reason so I’m going to install a shoreline float switch. I currently have a dual battery setup with the 1/2/both switch, but I believe I’m supposed to run 1 wire from the float switch directly to a battery, is that correct? How do I wire in the additional 2 wires?
Am I thinking about that accurately? That after I install the float, it will always have power regardless of the position of the manual switch on the dash. But I can still power the bilge manually from the dash switch if needed.
thanks in advance.
