Help me find this piece for my boat...

I have a center console and in each gunwale there is an insert that holds 2 rods. Mine is an actual plastic piece that fits into a cut-out in the hull. These aren't the holders like a rocket launcher- these are plastic, about 5 feet long, 2 feet tall and go into the sides of the hull. Both of mine have cracks and stains and I would like to replace them. I have had no luck finding them anywhere to purchase. I called my manufacturer but they could not tell me either. (It's stamped ProLine but they don't make them themselves.) So, I'm trying to find a place to buy them. If anyone can help, I'm all ears.

UFM82

Do you happen to have a photo of these rod holders?

Is your boat a Proline???? I know of the piece your talking about, my buddy has a 1988 Proline with the rod holders you discribed.

If it is Proline I would call them back and keep after them until you get to somebody who knows what you are talking about.

It doesn't seem likely to me that there isn't somebody at Proline who can't tell you where to find the part. There are also dealers of used marine parts.

I will do some searching around and see if I can come up with something.

If you can't get anywhere with Proline post the dimensions of the holders.

pbailey

If you can't find replacements, can they be rehabbed? Wonder if you could use something thin like superglue to seep into & strengthen cracks and then coat entire holder with something like that spray on rubber coating....
