Help me find my restoration thread. I think it is gone.

Help me please. I was hoping it was moved to the StarCraft forum but can't find it there either. Title was "Time To Get Started on the StarCraft Resto" This was the old URL, hoping I didn't upset someone at Iboats and got the hammer.

Hum, I'm not seeing it just yet. I can find it with a Google search but it's not going/opening where it needs to be. I don't see it as a soft delete which would still show up for the Mod's. Was it your thread? Don't think you upset anyone at iboats. I'll keep looking.

yes it was my thread it also doesn't show up in my user started threads in control panel either.

Don't give up hope just yet. One of the administrative members hopefully might be able to retrieve it from past downloads saved as things are changing daily. I will let him know to look into it for you. Please give it a day or so.

I moved it at Sig's request and even posted to it after it was moved to the manufacturers forum.

You do realize if the thread is really lost (Yes, I feel terrible because I did the right things) you will have to start the entire restoration over again...... all of your accomplished work will be negated and must be done again. Like the movie Groundhog Day

Well I think we have some improvement, I can click the link again and it brings me to a page other than invalid URL, but there is still no content in the link.

Our IT guy said somehow the thread was permanently deleted. But we back up our databases quite often, he is working on recovering the thread from a previous backup.

Ok it should be restored now, if you want to check it out. A few attachments are still missing, if you have them it might be easier for you to restore them but our IT will try and recovery the attachments as well.

Nice job to you and the IT team for sticking with this issue until the end. It sure helps ease some feelings of relief being reassured that when something big goes haywire, it's not total devastation. Including forum software change overs!
