Hello Iboats .... I purchased this 16’ boat
Under the assumption it was a 1960 Alumacraft It’s in rough shape with bad paint. I’ve scoured the internet searching for similar looking boat & cannot find one...

I bought this boat that was advertised as a Aluma craft.... It’s been confirmed on this site that it is not. I now believe it is a Crestliner it has a very unique stern.. It’s all aluminum I believe it’s been painted I’m not sure because it’s flaking off with multiple colors showing. Sorry for posting these same photos. I don’t have anymore.

First, stop posting the same three pictures.

Second, stop starting new threads because you are trying to ID the boat brand.

Are you going to start a new thread for every older aluminum boat brand? Better not!

Why should it be deleted? You might miss finding out what you have.

Oh, please don't get discouraged. GA Boater is just trying to help you learn the posting protocol for the site.

I don't believe your boat looks that bad at all. But then again, I always see the finished product. I own a 33 year old cruiser that I cannot part with and just keep working on.

Getting the paint off is a simple, if not painstaking, chore. Simply start with paint dissolving gel and get to scraping. Be careful scraping. If you use steel scrapers you can puncture the aluminum.

Once the paint is off, check the transom really good. Make sure it is solid and can support a motor. Check the hull for cracks, cuts, leaks. Aluminum is easily welded and repaired and you can find someone locally to do that.

Those corner brackets tell me it might be a lonestar but the brackets are missing the star. The front bracket on the bow looks like a starcraft. only thing for sure the boat is not an alumacraft. Cool old boat and much easier to restore than a fiberglass boat.

I’ve searched so many photos my eyes hurt!
I’ve followed all leads without successful identifying maker ... I’ve attached some photos of items are removed before stripping of boat paint.

Your boat may be an Aero-line, or Aerocraft.

bow light and the handle match a couple Aerocraft models - fiberglassics website/ yet no exact match .
