Hello All!

Looking for some help identifying a part that is hanging off my 1986 Yamaha 50 HP (Model: 50ETLJ) Outboard. This is my first boat I purchased over the summer and it is time to perform my annual maintenance. I suspect it is a grease fitting, but want to confirm here before pumping grease into an unknown part of the engine.

Attached are some screenshots of the part in question, as well as the specific part in the parts guide which lists it simply as an "END, NIPPLE".

I have searched the maintenance section of my manual and there is surprisingly (to me) little, to no information about where my grease points are, which I hoped would have shed some light on this part of the engine, so I am hoping that you all can help me out.

Thank you very much for any information you can provide here. I appreciate the help!

-Matt

Part #61 is a nipple to connect a tube for the speedometer.

Agreed ----Supplies pressure for the speedometer.----Nothing to do with grease / lubrication.
