Hi guys. Buddy at work bought an old house and found this in a shed.
What is it?
Any value at all? $50 ?

The ebay link above is a cosmetic restoration and a wallhanger. A grand is wishful thinking. All too many people think that a pretty one will bring big bucks, but not in today's market. He might get $200 if he finds a gur that needs a decoration.

Yours in that condition is worth $50. If someone offers you $30 take it. I have bought similar models for as low as 5 bucks. If I didn't already have one I would offer 20.

Look the motor over and provide the serial and model numbers off the engine tag and I'll tell you the exact year and HP.

The Champion gas cap is almost identical to the OMC caps from the 40's and 50's. They were used on Evinrudes and Johnsons, plus their private label brands.

Mid 50's Elgins generally used an all brass cap.

Using a tap off of a 5 gallon blue water jug .In a pinch it works but does look ugly.
