We know zero about boats, but just picked up a boat exactly like this yellow one at auction. Does anyone know what make, model or year this is? Lone star???? Thanks!

Welcome to iBoats. My father had a Lone Star back in the late 60's Here is some info on Lone Star Boats.

I don't know if its a Lone Star or not but reading may help you on the mater. I actually have an Evinrude that looks just like the one on the picture but its only a 7.5 Fleetwin.

The logo on the yellow boat is not Lone Star.

Can't see it real well but think it may be Texas Maid.

Pic for logo reference only. 436px-Texasmaidb61001.jpg

Edit - see you found out what it is.

Saw you posted -
We need a windshield and seats to start off.

Windshields are hard to come by for old boats. Sometimes xbay or CL will have them. Sometimes a boat salvage. Sometimes a donor boat. A few here have been able to make there own, but I believe they had a frame to start with.

Seats are a personal and budget decision. Pedestal or back to back, new or used, recover what you have if you have any. I have sold several seats on CL to people fixing up old boats.

You should post some pics and show us what you have.

Also let us know the condition of the boat and what other work you are planning.
