help. first time boater: 87 force 50

i just bought my first boat with a force 50 1987. some wires are disconnecxted and i wont have a manual for another week or two. i just would like to know where the wires that come from under the flywheel go. i know that the 2 red wires go to the rectifier (ac) then there is a white wire and a black one coming out from what looks like through a hole in the stator the white goes into a wire bundle but the black one has an eyelet on it and it is just dangling there. i assume it should be connected somewhere. any suggestions? also should there be something connected to the negative side of the rectifier theres nothing connected to it. does anyone have a wiring diagram i can borrow?d

Goona need a little more info.

As the ignition system was changed in mid year in 1987 from a breaker points ignition to the cd module ignition.

For now, I will assume you have the breaker points ignition, because of the black wire(s).

There should be 4 or 5 wires coming out of the stator ( I have 2 wiring diagrams and they are different !! ? ).

2 red
a white
and 2 black

1 black goes to the breaker plate.
The other black goes to the rectifier.

well the engine model # is 507x7a and the serial is 1098 there is definitely only 4 wires one white, one black or possibly brown and 2 reds.any chance of getting a copy of those diagrams? thanks again for your help

Sorry, they are real small and I don't have a scanner.
I don't know of any available on the web either.
