Hey guys, just wondering if any of you guys have any decent boats in the 1100-1500 pound range. I have a sweet little 14' flatbottom john that when fully loaded with trailer, motor, gas and gear tops in at around 700 lbs. It is a great boat. I have a Honda CR-V that pulls it and it does great. I have gotten into some Striper fishing and would like something that I can fish off of, have fun with the wife and friends, and still tow with my 1500lb. tow capacity CR-V. Thanks for any suggestions or experiences!!

A 16' aluminum V hull with a 40 HP outboard should make your weight limit comfortably.

16' Starcraft Aluminum SuperSport walk thru windshield open bow with a 50 or 70 hp.

Will weigh in at under 1500 including the trailer.

16' Starcraft Mariner (center console) fishing model should be about 100# less.

My 18' SuperSport w/ 115 hp rolls down the road at 1750#, plus fishing gear..

Starcraft, Smokercraft, Sylvan, all used the same hull for 20+ years in the 70's and 80's.
Wide, easy planing, decent ride.
