Need help dating a Chrysler 6hp. Model 64HC 7003. And a number on the side (sn?) 197032-1.

Sure? It looks older than that.<br /><br />Strange that I have not found any reference to this model (at least on the net). Could it be some prototype or "demo product"?

giganta, I think alcan is correct, you can always post a picture, but the model # says what it is. just a thought

I think alcan is right.<br /><br />Another thing. This outboard has a "pullout throttle lever" (or something). Is this specific to this model?

Hi giganta<br /> What Chief say's is correct. I have no way of telling what you actually have, I just look up the numbers you provide in the book. The model 64HC started in 1974 with ser# 3001. Chrysler made this model until 1976 starting with ser#7300. 1975 models ser#'s started at 5401. Your ser# is 7003. There is nothing really special about your motor. The controls should be stright forward. On the front cowl there shoulb be a choke knob, a bonnet latch and a forward-neutral-reverse shift lever. The throtle control should be located on the tiller arm.
