Help ... '87 70HP Merc wiring colors

hello all ... i am in need of some assistance. i am trying to wire up a 1987 70 HP motor to controls from1960-70-ish ... colors don't match up ... i really appreciate any assistance ...

on 1987 harness ...
RED
BLACK
BLACK/YELLOW LINE
YELLOW/BLACK LINE
YELLOW/RED LINE
GREY
PURPLE
BROWN/BLUE LINE
BROWNISH (OR TAN)

if you have and are willing to share, a wiring diagram for the 1987 would be great .... meletong@gmail.com

also ... from the old control harness ... there were cables to connect to battery .... how do i wire/connect the new harness/motor to battery?

still a little stuck ....

BLACK/YELLOW Line goes to "Switch Box" on engine side ...what do i hook that up to on the control box side?

GREY goes to Rectifier on engine side ... what do i need to do with this on the control side?

also ... TAN, TAN/BLUE to temp switch .... .and PURPLE to Autoblend? .... do i need to hook those up to something on the control side?

Black/Yellow is the kill wire for the ign. and goes to the switch.
Gray is the sender wire for the tach if you have one.
The other wires fior the auto blend and heat horn do not have to be hooked to anything if you not useing them and for that matter niether does the tach.
