Yup you found your kill switch.

Really, learn to use that SEARCH feature on the top of this page. It's the coolest thing on the internet. There's absolutely tons of real-life information by experienced outboard wrenches from all over the world. Guys who know every single nut bolt & dohickey on your motor, how to keep it running great, and what to do if it doesn't run so great. Good writers, too. You can read all night long about outboards in general, about your specific motor, and about what makes it tick. Beats TV all to He!!

Whoops - I got carried away babling about the SEARCH feature and forgot that you asked where to get parts and manuals.

At the bottom left of this page is an icon to order Seloc repair manuals. I like my Seloc manual - it is written for a do-it-yourselfer. I have the OMC shop manuals too, but I read Seloc also to see what they have to say. Sometimes the OMC shop manual will say you gotta have a "carburator alignment jig" or some special tool and the Seloc book will say "use your thumbnail and your eyeball to get it even". If you're new to outboards the Seloc is a good read, and it tells you how to do basic maintenance & repair. It has chapters on complete teardowns, but if you get into it that far you will want the real thing.
For parts like impellers & thermostats, stuff considered "consumables" because you need to replace them every few years, two good places are iBoats' Mega Mall and your neighborhood Johnson/Evinrude dealer. If you click the Marine Mega Mall icon at the top of this page and follow the links to service parts you'll find stuff like this:
http://www.iboats.com/mall/partfind...gd_poid=109112&gd_row=26&**********=530101206
and this:
http://www.iboats.com/mall/partfind...gd_poid=111071&gd_row=12&**********=530101206
Their prices are reasonable, shipping is fast, and they are our home turf because they sponsor this forum. If you have a Johnson/Evinrude dealer nearby they are a good bet too. Their prices may be a bit more because they have factory parts, but supporting the local pro by buying a few parts will pay back bigtime if you need help or advice down the road. The kid in the spark plug aisle at WalMart may be doing his best but he ain't the most knowlegable thing on the planet when it comes to your outboard. One last good source is NAPA stores. They carry a lot of Sierra aftermarket parts for older OMC motors.
