I have a 1981 Evinrude 70 hp on a 1981 Galaxie Tri Hull.I am replacing the exhaust cover gaskets on it.I seen a article ( service bulletin) about moving the tell tale 90° elbow to the top of the engine to prevent upper cylinders from getting to hot due to the elbow being so low on the exhaust plate.Since I have the cover's off could someone please tell me the measurements where I need to drill the new placement hole. Thank y'all in advance, and thanks for letting me be on the website..👍🏼

??????----It clearly states that it applies to the 70 HP ( 56 cube ) from 1986 to 94.----It does not apply to a 1981 model !!

Awesome, I really appreciate all of you for the information on this.I seen this while looking for new gaskets but it didn't discuss the year of the engine's or makes either. It's going back together all cleaned up and I ain't gotta mess with the pee tube. Thanks again everyone.
