Head torque needed 84 Johnson 50 hp 2 cyl

Hi all, the dealer had a chart that said 14 - 16ft/lbs. My seloc manual says 18 - 20ft/lbs. Anyone out there with a OEM manual that can help me. Thanks, Ken

18 to 20 foot pounds is correct, to be tightened in the following sequence.

8...10

5....6

1....2

4....3

8....7

torque up in increments,be sure the threads are clean,I oil up olts,feel for stripping
