motor is 1973 chrysler 70hp. changing thermostat, so changing head gasket. trying to find the correct part #. the parts 27-F369529-3 and 27-820438 are what im finding, but it looks different. if you look at the attached, my old one has water jacket holes (I assume thats what they are for) all around each cylinder and two large cutouts between cylinders. the new one (pic also attached) doesnt have these. dont want to get the wrong part and tear up a good motor.

anyone know the correct part#?

The replacement gasket will work just fine. The only water passages between the block and head are located at each end of the gaskets. There are no water passages between the block and head around the cylinders. The new gasket actually has more sealing area than the old one. Make sure you torque the head bolts in the proper sequence in 3 steps, and re-check after you've warmed the motor up and allowed it to cool down.
