I use perfect seal myself, works great, some others require a specific sealer/locking agent. some of the SBC headbolts have cooling water on the threads.

I would run ARP bolts and use their sealant as well. They have torque special specs listed for their stuff.

A good product to use is Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket sealant. You can find this in a small can with brush-top. Just be sure that the bolts and bolt holes are clean for whatever sealant you use! <br /><br />Chris Laarman<br />Ottawa Engine and Performance<br />www.ottawaengine.com

Perma Tex thread sealant with teflon. One of the best. Teflon reduces friction to help get accurate torque on the bolts.

Permatex #2 will work as well.
