having trouble removing lower unit 1978 20hp merc . i removed 3nuts one in front one underneath one on top rear,what else is holding it?

Could be that the splines on the driveshaft into the motor are rusted an being stuborn. The nut you removed from underneath was next to the anoid fin wasn't it?

Steering fin?Top of the rear there is a hole.Inside the hole a bolt holding on the fin.
Sometimes(if your sure all screws/nuts/bolts are loose)they just need a bit of help from a rubber mallet or a 2X4

Yeah man, drop the trim tab and there should be one more bolt under there.
