I've never used one of those, but my ABS Fitting and grill igniter version can shoot a potato about 700' with hair spray. A little farther with 10% WD-40.

I am not a red neck..:)

it's a tire bead seater, it kicks like a 12 guage when you open the valve

it should toss a potato about a block minimum
Heck, my PVC bead launching / tee shirt launching cannons for Gasparilla will toss a potato half a block with only 1/8th the air volume. They shoot ice cubes about 3 blocks.

Ummmmm...maybe that's why he does the supervising?

Start out with low pressures, and don't aim at the porta-john. The hair spray fuels only generate about 30psi in a PVC cannon. You do that with a full 120psi, and that potato will be GONE!!!

I made the switch to integrated propane and never looked back. Less hassle and way WAY less mess.

To the OP, I've never used a bead seater as a launcher but there's a whole bunch of guys that have air launchers and they're impressive. If it wasn't cost prohibitive I'd have made one already.

My brother and I built an air cannon years ago. Had to either cut down the potato to fit in the barrel we used ( 2" IIRC ), or it would launch caulk tubes perfectly. 100 PSI, we could launch about a football field

Well, that depends on the type of boss you have. I've worked in a few places where, "Hey boss, can I take this home for the weekend and see how far it'll launch a 'tater?" would've worked just fine.

Maybe you can leave off everything after the conjunction and see how that goes?

Oh yea, video is nice too....just sayin'.
