Have my 'new to me' Sportwin home

Got my 1951 (4423) Sportwin home today. Threw some fresh gas in her, but could not get it started. Checked for spark, and there was none. Pulled the fly wheel and took some pics.

Points look pretty cruddy. Is this the model where ignition componants are still available? Can I check the coils with a regular voltmeter?

I also have a gas leak at the primer button. Is the bushing in the carb replacable?

Any suggestions?

No, those points won't work. It looks like you have the older style ignition. The ignition system doesn't look too bad though. If the insulation on the coils is good and solid, then you can probably get by fine by cleaning up the points and replacing the condensors. If that doesn't work, then replace the spark plug leads. All in all, the motor looks like it's in good restorable shape and doesn't have a lot of hours on it. If you have an old condensor from one of the later style ignitions and it matches up, then you can probably use a new pair to bring spark back into the old gem.

Thanks Zephyr, he really lubed up the pull cord mechanism, and I suspect a bunch of oil migrated to the points. I'll clean them with a small brush and rubbing alcohol, and run some 400 wet/dry between them a couple times, then clean again (?) and check the gap.

My more major concern is the gas leak where the push primer rod goes through the carb. The bushing is not sealing around the push rod. Half a tank leaked out during the night! Any ideas on fixing that, or if a replacement part is available?
